Welcome to my new series: How to Be a Grown Woman: A Practical and Legal Guide to Being an Adult. I don’t pretend that I’ve got adulthood mastered, but even before I was a lawyer, I had a lot of opinions on the best way to live one’s life.
After I became a lawyer, people started asking me questions which sounded legal in nature but were usually more complicated than that. I don’t give legal advice, but I can usually point people in the right direction of their answer. I also know a lot of extremely smart women in different fields, and I plan to draw on their collective wisdom and knowledge to answer every question I can think of for women of all ages.
You probably think this sounds overly broad, and you are probably right. I intend to write about everything from housing to medical decisions, from to how to break up to when you should get a dog.
I’ll be honest. I want to turn this into a book or series of books someday and keeping myself accountable to a blog seems like a good way to get started. If you have a question you’d like me to answer, send it to me at andrea(at)andrea-dooley(dot)com, and I’ll do my best to answer it, or find the best answer I can.
I’ll still post about other topics, don’t worry.
Now I’m going to go learn how to better crop my new logo up there, and then start posting my new series.
